The Compact
Eldoria
Eldoria is the de facto capital of the Compact. This fact will of course never appear in any official documents but, it being the largest and central city of the compact, serves as a trade hub and melting pot of all of the Compact's cultures. Even some from beyond. It serves as a neutral ground for the bigger powers to meet and the Justicars have their biggest temples and archives in the city.
The city was founded by elves, clearly evident in its oldest and wealthiest district. Because it was next to halfling and human territory, early trade flourished with these communities. This led to the establishment of trading posts and small settlements of migrants. Elves living long lives and being very particular about their progeny were soon outbred by their allies and the growing city came under a joint leadership council. Human entrepreneurship, dwarven craftsmanship and gnomish ingenuity led to the establishment of co-operatives greatly boosted by elven scholarship and knowledge of magic. Karak Hur
Hearthstone
Being the approximate halfway point between Rivermarch and Eldoria and the location of the hearthstone caused this settlement to grow from a small town to a city. At the first of fall people come from far and wide to celebrate the harvest festival and trade their crops for tools and exotic wares.
Rivermarch
Situated at the mound of the Eldoras, this city hosts an extensive harbour and has expertise in the construction of both river and sea vessels. Most goods from the Shifting Cities and Veridia's Tears get traded here amongst many others.
